"... with...Great article... just one quibble:

"... with two pro-style quarterbacks at the helm, Steven Threet and Nick Sheridan..."

With that description, you give all the old-school dorks an inch to whine about how UM could've had many more wins and a bowl game if only RR had "run the right offense for his personnel." In fact, neither Threet nor Sheridan (fine people, both, as far as I can see) had the goods to run ANY offense.

Why not just say, in kind terms, "With incompetent QBs last year, it would not have been possible to run any offense well?"Kevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15082647772511926019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078287126930176141.post-245346749901813562009-06-23T22:24:15.246-07:002009-06-23T22:24:15.246-07:00Bravo.Bravo.Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16483608908590422213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078287126930176141.post-72486130883719731512009-06-12T10:33:41.748-07:002009-06-12T10:33:41.748-07:00holy crap you went at it.

Anyone on the internet has read 5000 articles about the spread's effectiveness with various QBs at the helm, and I was prepared for a yawn and a quick tab close after I opened this page.

However, this was an engrossing, well-detailed read with plenty of supporting evidence. Solid work with the tables, and great commentary overall. Thanks for putting something good out there for us! I'll certainly check back in the future for more good stuff.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5078287126930176141.post-62132248111828299592009-06-05T10:45:13.891-07:002009-06-05T10:45:13.891-07:00Great article, very enjoyable read.
