Anthony Carter's Last Game in Michigan Stadium

Special thanks to Wolverine Historian for "picking them up and laying 'em down" on the internet for all to see.

This is the final game in Michigan Stadium for several great senior Wolverine players including WR Anthony Carter, TB Lawrence Ricks, TE Craig Dunnaway and LBs Robert Thompson, Paul Girgash and Mike Boren, as well as S Keith Bostic.

The hero of the game was Lawrence Ricks, the powerful Michigan tailback, who for the previous three years had been a backup to the likes of running back stars Stanley Edwards and Butch Woolfolk. Ricks blasted the Boilermakers all afternoon behind a powerful, veteran offensive line of future NFL starts like Rich Strenger, Tom Dixon, Jerry Diorio, Doug James and Tom Garrity.

This video captures arguably one of Anthony Carter's best touchdown catches of his career. With this TD grab, Carter ensured Michigan a Big Ten title and a return to the Rose Bowl. He also provided fans one final farewell glipse of Anthony Carter magic while wearing a Maize and Blue uniform before 100,000 plus raucous fans (yes, I wrote the word "raucous" in the context of Michigan Stadium. Amazing to behold is it not?).

Purdue's team was coached by Leon Burtnett and features quarterback Scott Campbell (No. 10) and tailback Mel Gray.
